Making Memories and Supporting Our Community!

We kicked off the summer with a group of team members volunteering with Food Bank of the Rockies (FBOR) to help with their Mobile Pantry. Several times a year, our staff members are invited to spend time volunteering with FBOR to help combat meal scarcity for struggling families in our community.

Team members also had the opportunity to attend three different Colorado Rockies baseball games as a group, which was an excellent way to bring family members and friends together for a few evenings of fun, food and fireworks!

In addition, we partnered with Vitalant to bring a mobile blood drive to our office. Three of our participants were first time donors, and our team’s donations had the potential to save up to 45 lives!

A bittersweet Summer BBQ took place over the summer in our parking lot, where team members enjoyed the traditional fare and games, as well as a dunk tank that presented an opportunity for team members to dunk the company’s top leaders. This was the last team event to include retiring Imperial Dade Vice Presidents Nick Morris and Jeff Farmer. We are grateful for their many years of hard work and service put in to grow Western Paper into the organization it is today. While we miss their presence, we wish them both the best in their future endeavors.

Making time to build relationships between team members is an important part of our work culture. Whether we are donating to our community or simply sharing food and laughter together, these events help us connect as a team in meaningful ways.
