Western Paper Team Members Brave the Cold to Provide Food for Families!
As part of an ongoing tradition, Western Paper team members once again came out on a chilly February morning to help Food Bank of the Rockies assemble and distribute a large number of groceries to families in need in the community. This is a passion of Western Paper’s—making a difference in the local community and helping others, and it’s a wonderful opportunity for team members to use part of their work day away from the office to lend a helping hand.
Western Paper Vice President Nick Morris is a believer in the work of Food Bank of the Rockies, and has served as a member of their board for a number of years. “I love the opportunity of generously meeting a practical need to help those who might be struggling, and there’s not much more rewarding than providing nutritional support to families in our community. It’s incredible what Food Bank of the Rockies does, and I’m so glad our team members can be part of it!”
Food Bank of the Rockies provides food and necessities to people in need through signature programs and by teaming up with hundreds of Hunger Relief Partners to serve communities across Colorado and Wyoming, the largest food bank coverage area in the contiguous United States. On this particular morning, about 90 car loads of food were distributed, and despite the chilly temperatures, the beaming smiles were warming for both volunteers and the appreciative recipients of food boxes!
