Western Paper Team Volunteers to Provide Food Assistance to Those in Need

On a chilly mid-April morning in Denver, nearly a dozen bundled-up Western Paper Distributors team members joined with other volunteers to help Food Bank of the Rockies distribute nutritional support to the local community.

Our team taped together piles of boxes and then filled them with a balanced assortment of food in a strategic assembly line fashion that soon was ready to be loaded into the line of cars snaking around the street. More than 800 people were served in this inspirational effort that provided staples like fruit, cereal, eggs, yogurt, bread, tortillas, chicken, potatoes, milk and more to those struggling in our local community.

With representation from a diverse range of company departments, including warehouse crew, office support, outside sales and management, this unique service event gave our team a chance to give back during work hours and help fight hunger in the Denver area. This is the second time this year Western Paper leadership has encouraged team members to get involved in this outstanding opportunity and it won’t be the last!
