Western Paper Employees Distribute Food to Urban Denver Neighbors
As part of Western Paper Distributors’ ongoing commitment to making a difference in the local community, 12 team members got up early on a frigid Friday morning to distribute food from the Food Bank of the Rockies to struggling residents in an urban area hit particularly hard by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The team unloaded and assembled boxes of eggs, cereal, bread, fruit and a broad range of food staples, and then loaded them up to a long line of waiting cars. The Western Paper volunteer crew represented a diverse range of departments, including the warehouse, sales, human resources/talent and accounting.
The chilly temps were no match for the warm smiles received from grateful residents as they drove through and had groceries loaded into their car. More than 625 individuals from more than 130 households benefitted from the generous provisions from the Foodbank of the Rockies, and our Western Paper team members were blessed to be there to help! It’s a community service project we’ll most certainly be back to be a part of again!
