Western Paper Helps Local Residents by Supplying Hard-to-Find Essentials
When the COVID-19 crisis hit the local community and residents were panicking over a lack toilet paper availability, Western Paper found a way to help!
Our company is primarily focussed on supplying businesses like restaurants, hotels, hospitals and entertainment venues with cleaning supplies and equipment, food service packaging, laundry and warewash solutions. When we saw residents in need of essentials, however, we looked for a way to serve them, and soon launched a “Farmer’s Market” in our parking lot (named affectionally after our president, Jeff Farmer). Residents could drive by and pick up hard-to-find essential items like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, disinfectant, paper towels and more that otherwise have been difficult to locate.
In addition, we launched Western Paper Essentials Express, an online ordering portal that allows locals to purchase these items for pick up or even have them delivered to their homes! It’s been remarkable to see how grateful people are to find a provider of needed items when the grocery store shelves are bare.
In recognition of this new effort, CBS News featured Western Paper in a news story to get the word out about how Western Paper is making a positive difference to the local community. We are grateful for the chance to serve our neighbors and continue carrying out our mission of being “here to help.”
