Western Paper Employees Support The Marfan Foundation
Marfan Syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects the body’s connective tissue, which holds all the body’s cells, organs and tissue together. It also plays an important role in helping the body grow and develop properly. About 1 in 5,000 people have Marfan Syndrome–including Kylie and Tiffany Gaboriault, the daughter and wife of Western Paper Sales Representative Scott Gaboriault.
Founded in 1981, The Marfan Foundation has made some great strides in inspiring research, raising awareness and supporting the patients and families affected by Marfan Syndrome. Walk for Victory is a nationwide walk program that focuses on fundraising and fun with the 2017–2018 goal of raising $800,000 for the Foundation.
Scott, Tiffany and Kylie participated in Phoenix’s walk on March 11. Their goal was to raise $1,000. Through office fundraising efforts alone, Western Paper team members contributed nearly $600 towards their goal.
